A couple of blokes (Ed Weber & Gary Giudice) are fly fishing the Rocky Mountains this summer. In this report on attempting to catch the Gila trout they hit on an important aspect of small stream fishing for natives: the people you meet in rural locations. And they talk about the fishing too.

USFWS – New Magazine – “Eddies”

The US Fish and Wildlife Services has a new fish magazine, Eddies, to tout their successes (as they perceive them). A lot of the magazine is devoted to management issues, especially regarding hatcheries. I would like to see more dealing with conserving habitat instead of just hatchery issues.
