Thanks Brett. It was my mom's b-day Sunday and she picked the color version of that picture as one she wants me to frame to hang on her dining room wall.

Really nice stuff Scott, my favorite of the group is the dandilions/sky/tree shot with the menacing clouds. Fantastic stuff.

Thanks Bryan. Black and white is one of my favorites. I like them real contrasty, something I'm trying to work on.

Gracie,

Wow, I'll take you up on that deal. In fact, I'll live up to my end of the bargain right now: Turn on camera (probably not an I/O button that you computer geek types look for--that could be the first hurdle you have to overcome). Point at desired object you wish to capture (there shouldn't be a beer in the other hand--this could cause some slight focusing trouble). Depress shutter release button. (The shutter release is typically a silver button on the top, right hand corner of the camera (as the lens is pointing away from you). If you're a lefty, forget it, you'll never get the grasp of it.)

You now have all the knowledge and wisdom I could possibly depart concerning photography.

However, next time I make it to Colorado, I'd love to let you take me fishing (I might be able to come up with something slightly more worthwhile to add to the above lesson by that time). Greenback cutthroats are on my life list, although browns at South Park would do.

Seriously, I'd love to fish with you in Colorado. I've been there half a dozen times or so, but never fished there. If I remember correctly, you're in the Denver area. It's about time I made it back there.

My fishing this summer is centered on northern Nevada/south-eastern Oregon. I'm hoping next summer it's south-eastern Wyoming/northern Colorado.

Any chance I can swap you a couple of days accommodation during the brown spawn (plus transport and gas to South Park) for some photography lessons?

ER,

One good thing about all the stormy weather we've had the last several weeks is that it's made for some great sky/cloud shots. Still keeping my fingers crossed that I can make it out of here around 3:00 for a little fishing.
